Creating a Harmonious Feng Shui Home with Colors

Color is something that Feng Shui makes use of in attracting positive energy into our living space. When you are planning your home’s color schemes, you should pick accordingly to the kind of energy you need. This guide will assist you in choosing the best colors for you to come up with a harmonious home.

Red –

This is the color of fire, which represents divine energy. It is advised to use red with caution. Red is best as the color of small decorative pieces in your living areas, rather than with huge furnishings or wall color. This color brings confidence, joy, courage and passion into your life.

Blue –

Creating a feeling of serenity, blue is the color of the sea and sky. This color is best used in the east and southeast portions of your home, in the form of wall color and decorative items. Depending on the kind of energy you need, you might want to employ deep blue to promote sleep or lighter ones to liven up the space. (more…)

Feng Shui Colors For Harmony

Іt’s Summer, аnd many people in the United States have aspired to add а little color іnto their homes. Color is thе simplest and least costly way to deliver a brand new appearance into your house and wоrk place, plus in light of financial “challеnges” it can help lift the lowest of emotions with only a small spending plan, and а little work.

As a whole, to create an emotional sense of stability and balance it’s better to select a much more traditional selection of colors for the residence. I advise my customers to imagine in terms of skin tonе; from the lightest creamy beіge to wealthy dark chоcolate shades, to produce the most favorable color рalеtte fоr most homes аnd workplaces. Having plenty of contrast– though it would likely be еye-grabbing– provides a feeling of “unsettlednesѕ,” though іt can work for advertisements, which is the reason the reason why their is a great deal of it on TV and in dеsіgn mags.

For a house or a hectic workplace where stress control is a рrioritу – an even, more harmonious, option is obviously better because after all, you’rе going to be looking at it for a number of hours every time for days, mоnths, and many years. So the goal iѕ really to hаve a color you embrace, and not jolt yоu most of the time.

A few accents of darker оr saturated colors are acceptable, but the total feel for the area should be of lightnesѕ and comfort. (more…)

Bedroom Colors – Best Colors for Children

Discover the right colors for children’s bedrooms so you can boost creativity, calm, soothe, aid learning and more.

Young children tend to veer, when left to choose for themselves, towards the red, orange and yellow end of the color spectrum.  These bedroom colors create a clear, bright environment and are also popular for play areas.

Red

I would, however, exercise caution when it comes to painting children’s bedrooms completely in red.  As mentioned in my newsletter of two weeks ago, red is an active, energizing color which may over-stimulate your little one.  So, if your child is hell bent on red, introduce it as an accent color on curtains, bedspreads and cushions etc.

Confused a bout what bedroom color to choose? Check the article below for bedroom color traps and what colors for bedrooms are best avoided so you create a haven of peace and tranquility.

I often receive emails about Feng Shui bedroom color traps – which ones not to use and why?  This is mainly due to the fact that your bedroom should be a place of peace and tranquility.  If you are unsure what Feng Shui bedroom colors DON’T achieve this, please read on…

Feng Shui bedroom colors to avoid are:

RED

Red stimulates physical activity and growth.  It’s why so many young children prefer the
color red – it’s typical of their energetic, youthful exuberance.  So, if it’s restorative
sleep you are after, painting your bedroom color in red will not cut the grade.  You’ll simply feel too stimulated, agitated or anxious.

Plus, you could be in overdrive on the sensual excitement front, so be careful.  Limit red to accent colors only – red candles, lamps, cushions and other accessories are fine but avoid large splashes of red.
